OR: "A New Jersey Idiot in Kangaroo Court" (With apologies to Samuel Clemens. And come to think of it, we owe Roger Clemens an apology too, for the whole Yankee thing. Unless it turns out he's been using the Clear or the Cream. Then we take it back again.)

We just chilled all day today on the Harbour. We didn't get out there until after noon though - we were up past 3:30am just talking to people outside and at a New Year's party they had downstairs. We made a lot of new friends, all ages and nationalities. There's nothing like Jan 1 to bring people together. Here are some gratuitous tourist shots we took on Circular Quay today. We've heard from almost all of you now and I just want to say: you're not allowed to be jealous - you're supposed to be enjoying the experience vicariously! So just so you know we're not having that much fun, here's a picture of me not smiling. Check out the giant New Years disco ball just to the right of center near the top of the bridge.
Well, we walked down to the harbour a few minutes before midnight to see the fireworks. It was a mob all right, but a friendly mob. Let's just say we made a lot of new friends! We found a spot behind Ferry terminal #3 that wasn't too unruly. We couldn't see the bridge (they shoot the fireworks from all over the harbour, but most of them shoot from the bridge) but we could see all the fireworks. Our best pictures are movies... we'll show them to you when we get home!
